Luv Mehta, V Sriram, and i did a wonderful trip to Ooty in the second half of 1988. We were traversing the Ghats between Mysore and Ooty on bikes in the middle of the night!
However, am a 95% armchair dude when it comes to cycling. The only place i cycle is within Palm Meadows (see my loop), but i am quite excited by the Tour de France and the fact that some folks are trying to do a similar thing closer home.
To paraphrase a quote by Paul Theroux, a fellow Snake:
Cycling is glamorous only in retrospect.Anyway, i quickly cobbled together the Tour of Nilgiris gadget, which you can see in the sidebar as well.
All in a morning's work.
Incidentally, sometime back i was noticing that, numero-logically speaking:
Cycling = Shastri = 19That sort of explained my love for it. Since i was aware that the century-old brand also added up to my number, the message from Arun completed the equation:
